A ‘Little Shop Of Horrors’ Remake is in the works with Taron Egerton & Scarlet Johansson as leads!

Outside of Alen Menken and Miles Goodman's broadway iteration and 1991 cartoon, this will be the second time Seymore and Audrey II meet at Mr. Mushnick’s flower shop on film. First in 1960 which starred Jonathan Haze, Jackie Jospeh and a very young Jack Nicholson in a small barely memorable cameo role and then in the surprisingly much successful musical remake starring Rick Moranis, Ellen Greene and Steve Martin in 1986.

Now there’s a new remake being developed, at Warner Bros. and the latest casting rumors indicate that Scarlett Johansson [Avengers: Endgame] and Taron Egerton [Rocketman] might be eyed for the leads.

Egerton, Johansson, and Porter all seem to be great casting choices for a new version of Little Shop of Horrors, but as none of these names have been officially confirmed, it's best to treat them as mere rumors at this time. But both seem to be in talks.

Arrow's Greg Berlanti is currently set to direct the new Little Shop of Horrors, and early reports indicate that ‘Pose‘ star Billy Porter was in talks to voice the man eating plant, which we could not think of a better choice for the role!

Tell us what you think. Are you excited for the Little Shop Of Horrors to return with a more modern take that the 1986 version? Let ya know what you think in the comments.
