SDCC: Burt Ward - ‘Robin’ confirmed for ‘Crisis On Infinite Earth’ crossover!

During the Batwoman SDCC 2019 panel, it was officially announced that Batman ’66 star Burt Ward will appear in the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event.

Sources at Hollywood hero report, the upcoming crossover event has been teased since the very first episode of Grant Gustin’s The Flash, where a newspaper headline from the year 2024 revealed the Barry Allen’s fate was to disappear during a “crisis.” But the fifth season finale of Grant Gustin’s The Flash accelerated this when the original newspaper headline changed the date of the event from 2024 to 2019. To add to this, the seventh season finale of Stephen Amell’s Arrow set up Oliver Queen’s role in the next crossover by having him join the Monitor on a mission to warn other worlds of the crisis, as part of the arrangement Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen made in order to save the lives of both Grant Gustin’s The Flash and Melissa Benoist’s Supergirl.

In addition to Burt Ward appearing in Crisis on Infinite Earths, it’s been confirmed that the five-hour crossover event will air over two quarters. This might mean Crisis On Infinite Earths will consist of the midseason finales and midseason premieres for Arrowverse shows. In addition, the Crisis On Infinite Earths episode of Arrow could also be the series finale considering the show will conclude with its final 10-episode run this fall.

Plot details remain under wraps but rumors suggest the Arrowverse will look incredibly different after Crisis On Infinite Earths. The crossover is rumored to feature the deaths of several major characters from Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
