ABC'S 'ROSEANNE' LIVES ON THROUGH SPIN-OFF

ABC has announced, weeks after actress Roseanne Barr's racist tweets toward Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett , that they will be rebooting the series once again as a spin-off titled 'The Connors'. With only 10 episodes currently ordered, The Conners, spinoff will feature Dan (John Goodman), Jackie (Laurie Metcalf), Darlene (Sara Gilbert), Becky (Lecy Goranson) and DJ (Michael Fishman) facing the daily struggles of life in Lanford in a way they never have before "after a sudden turn of events."

Does this mean Roseanne will be killed off? Boy this show sure has a thing for killing them off, bringing them back and then killing them again. Yet we never bat an eye and keep on watching.

According to ABC, Roseanne herself will have "no financial or creative involvement in the new series."

A joint statement was released by the entire cast:

"We have received a tremendous amount of support from fans of our show, and it's clear that these characters not only have a place in our hearts, but in the hearts and homes of our audience. We all came back last season because we wanted to tell stories about the challenges facing a working-class family today. We are so happy to have the opportunity to return with the cast and crew to continue to share those stories through love and laughter."

Well, sounds like they're giving "the fan" exactly what they want. Let us know are you excited for this spin-off, or should they let it die along with Roseanne Barr's career?
