In the upcoming season of the popular Hulu series The Handmaid’s Tale Elizabeth Moss will make her directing debut. The Emmy award winning actress is set to direct the third episode of the upcoming forth season. As the show went back into production earlier this week Moss gave her thoughts on her new role.

“Can’t wait to try my hand at working with my collabortors from this new perspective.”

Executive producer and showrunner Bruce Miller had supportive words for Moss as she ventures into the directing space stating,

“Moss has fostered a supportive environment that allows artist to do their best work. She is now benefiting from this incredibly generous and ambitious atmosphere she helped create.”

Season 4 is expected to be released in Fall 2020 after it was renewed just weeks ahead of the Season 3 finale premiere in 2019. No specific premiere date has been set but it will likely be a super tight production schedule since filming on the new season started on March 2 in Toronto, Canada.
