The Jerky Boys are getting ready to make some noise again, but this time, the story is personal.

During an exclusive interview with X-Scream Horror's Nikki Coleman at Silver Scream Con V, legendary comedian and Jerky Boys co-creator Johnny Brennan revealed new details about an upcoming biopic chronicling his life and the rise of the iconic prank-call comedy act.

According to Brennan, the film is moving forward in pre-production, with a director attached, actors being lined up to portray the original comedy duo, and additional casting underway.

Johnny Brennan Says His Life Story Is Coming to the Big Screen

For generations of comedy fans, The Jerky Boys were more than prank calls. Their outrageous characters and unpredictable conversations became a cultural phenomenon throughout the 1990s.

While discussing his legacy and the young fans who grew up imitating his calls, Brennan revealed that his story is now being developed for the screen.

“And they're doing a biopic now on my life,” Brennan told Coleman. “It's like another Jerky Boys movie, except this is the story of my life.”

He added that the project would cover “the whole kit and caboodle,” suggesting a broader look at the experiences and personalities behind the comedy phenomenon.

Andre Hyland and Ryan McParland Among Names Revealed

Although no official production announcement has confirmed the creative team, Brennan identified filmmaker Andre Hyland as director and named an actor whose surname sounded like McFarland or McParland as the performer attached to portray him. Ryan McParland is a possible match, but the spelling has not been independently verified.

“They just got the actor to play me,”

Brennan explained, describing him as an up-and-coming performer. He also expressed enthusiasm for Hyland's career.

Could Marvel's Saagar Shaikh Portray Kamal Ahmed?

Brennan also referenced an actor expected to portray Kamal Ahmed, his original Jerky Boys partner. He recalled a name sounding like “Shake” and associated the performer with Marvel productions.

That description could point to Saagar Shaikh, known for playing Aamir Khan in Ms. Marvel and The Marvels. However, Brennan was uncertain of the name, and Shaikh's casting has not been independently confirmed.

The Jerky Boys Legacy Comes Full Circle

Brennan and Ahmed rose to prominence through prank-call recordings featuring unforgettable characters including Frank Rizzo and Sol Rosenberg. Their success produced multiple comedy albums and the 1995 feature film The Jerky Boys: The Movie.

Unlike that fictional comedy adventure, the upcoming biopic aims to tell the story behind the voices, exploring Brennan's personal journey and the creation of a comedy act that left a lasting mark on pop culture.

What's Next for the Jerky Boys Biopic?

Brennan confirmed the project remains in pre-production, with casting continuing. No official release date has been announced, and the director and casting details shared in the interview have not been independently confirmed by the production company.
