Marvel to finally crossover 'Cloak and Dagger' and 'The Runaways'!

With all the questions about Marvel's early television/movie plans coining the phrase, "Its all connected", we have yet to see a major character crossovers from their television series to big screen and even television to television outside of one 'Phil Coulson' [Clark Gregg] of 'Agents Of SHIELD' and 'Thor's Lady Sif'.

The official Cloak & Dagger Twitter account has shared a surprising image showing Cloak & Dagger co-star Aubrey Joseph (Cloak) and Runaways cast member Gregg Sulkin (Chase) standing side-by-side. The caption suggest those long awaited rumors are true, teasing "a very special shoot." It's really not hard to connect the dots, seeing as it looks as though this crossover will be a reality.

Things however were super confirmed today when Marvel, via the full cast of the runaways, dropped a special message for all the fans about their upcoming season 3 and the video features two very special guest!

Check it out below:

Cloak and Dagger crossed paths with the Runaways at a time when their own book was out of print; that essentially meant that, far from a crossover, they'd really just made cameos. In contrast, this crossover is being filmed at a time when both Runaways and Cloak & Dagger are ongoing series.

In the third season, "The Runaways" frantically search for their captured friends Chase Stein (Gregg Sulkin), Gert Yorkes (Ariela Barer), and Karolina Dean (Virginia Gardner). The kids go head to head with an unstoppable enemy who has targeted Leslie (Annie Wersching) — or more accurately, the child she’s carrying. Nico Minoru (Lyrica Okano) draws them all into a dark realm where its ruler Morgan le Fay, played by Elizabeth Hurley, is much more nefarious than anyone the kids have yet to face.

Meanwhile, the second season of the Freeform series “Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger,” which concluded in May of this year, ended with Tyrone Johnson (Aubrey Joseph) and Tandy Bowen (Olivia Holt) on a bus leaving New Orleans in the hopes of helping out other parts of the country.

“How Cloak and Dagger will cross paths with our Runaways have yet to be revealed,” Marvel said, but viewers should “expect more details as we near the Season 3 premiere of Marvel’s ‘Runaways,'” which launches Dec. 13 on Hulu.
