Rapper Joyner Lucas pays homage to his idol Will Smith and Will reacts!

We’re just days away from the release of the sophomore album by Massachusetts native Joyner Lucas titled “ADHD”. Although we’ve been teased for months with heat such as “Devils Work”, “Revenge”, “Lotto”, and even “What If” which features the Rap God himself Eminem, but fans believed the best had yet to come!

Which brings us to Joyners latest music video off of the upcoming ADHD project titled “Will”. In this track Joyner tells us to not only show respect to the legends but to give our heroes their roses while they’re still here. He not only goes on about what type of inspiration Will Smith has been to him, he also puts himself in Smith’s shoes recreating a number of Will’s iconic roles.

“I'm feelin' like Will, I think I'm a prince, I'm feelin' myself, I'm loaded with bills, 'cause I wasn't blessed with no Uncle Phil“

“I got the drip and I'm saucy, ooh ADHD, I'm a bad boy I think I might just pull up in the 'Rari”

“I got some secrets and weapons (Buck) That might just leave a concussion (Ah)”

“Give me three wishes, I think I'm Aladdin but there ain't no genie to bless us (Yeah)”

You get the idea.

Lucas takes on everything from The Fresh Prince, I Am Legend to The Pursuit Of Happiness and even A Sharks Tale, and with a similar style to the “ADHD” music video, the special effects are A1.

Will Smith took the time to respond to the Joyners praises via his instagram, reposting a snippet and dropping a personal thank you message.

From Will: “Joyner Lucas, yo, that joint is crazy. Uh, dude I am humbled and honored. You know one of the lines you say in there you inspire people and you don’t even know it. It has been my intention from day one to really go into the world and just put positive energy and to be able to use my creation to inspire and elevevate and empower and I just love what you’ve done it’s creative brother again humbled and hope to meet you one day.“
