For years now a 5th sequel to the late great Wes Craven horror franchise “Scream” has been in the rumor air and now it appears that one original actor has confirm that not only is it happening, but also he will be reprising his role.

In what most thought would be a reboot, David Arquette is officially returning for the now-confirmed sequel Scream 5. Finally, the project took a big step forward back in March, after the news broke that Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett - the directors of last year's acclaimed horror-comedy-thriller Ready or Not - are attached.

Neve Campbell, the star of the four previous films has been in conversation about reprising her role as Sydney Prescot, but has not officially confirmed her involvement at this time.

We also have yet to hear from ‘Friends’ Star Courtney Cox who’s best known as news reporter and author, Gale Weathers in the Screamverse. Were quite confident the whole band will get back together. Well, hopeful anyway. We will definitely keep you posted!

So what do you think? Are you excited for Another Scream with its original cast or would you rather some new blood [no pun intended] Or do you think we don’t need this at all?
