The streaming network just announced the cancellation of the Lionsgate-produced series via .

“After seven seasons, it’s time to be released from prison, said series creator Jenji Kohan. “I will miss all the badass ladies of Litchfield and the incredible crew we’ve worked with. My heart is orange but fade to black.”

Not that bad of news if you ask us. After 6 entertaining seasons, what story was left to tell. The cast was amazing and the writers did what they could to keep us streaming and binging for hours at a time. We wish the women of Litchfield the best with their careers.

Season 7 of OITNB is salted for summer 2019!
