BEYOND FEST To Host Special Screening To Lionsgate's “THE LONG WALK” At The Egyptian Theatre!

In anticipation of the September 12 nationwide release of Lionsgate’s The Long Walk, directed by Francis Lawrence, Beyond Fest, the biggest and most highly attended genre film festival in the U.S., in partnership with the American Cinematheque will host a special screening of the film on Monday, September 8, at the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles.

The Long Walk’s cast and filmmakers are expected to attend the 8pm screening with a Q&A following moderated by Beyond Fest’s Christian Parkes.

“We’re thrilled to welcome the stars of The Long Walk to Beyond Fest,” said head of programming Evrim Ersoy. “Francis Lawrence has made an extraordinary and faithful adaptation of the first book Stephen King ever wrote, and the result is a powerful and visceral film that’s still living in my head. It’s unforgettable and I’m looking forward to sharing it with Beyond Fest and American Cinematheque audiences.”

Tickets are available at noon today at americancinematheque.com.

From the highly anticipated adaptation of master storyteller Stephen King’s first-written novel, and Francis Lawrence, the visionary director of The Hunger Games franchise films (Catching FireMockingjay – Pts. 1 2, and The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes), comes THE LONG WALK, an intense, chilling, and emotional thriller that challenges audiences to confront a haunting question: how far could you go?
