Comedy Central’s ‘Crank Yankers’ set to return with all star cast!
Earlier this year, Comedy Central announced that it had plans to bring back Crank Yankers, the Jimmy Kimmel–produced prank-call series featuring a cast of puppets that originally ran on the network from 2002 to 2007, for 20 more episodes. Today, Comedy Central dropped the first teaser of the series’ return as well as its stacked voice cast, which will feature a nice mix of both new and returning stars. The list, so far, is an extensive one, so take a breath before reading it: Jimmy Kimmel, Sarah Silverman, Tracy Morgan, Kathy Griffin, Tiffany Haddish, Will Forte, Chelsea Peretti, Nick Kroll, Jimmy O. Yang, Lil Rel Howery, Aubrey Plaza, Abbi Jacobson, Demetri Martin, Bobby Moynihan, Kevin Nealon, Adam Carolla, Nikki Glaser, Paul Scheer, Arturo Castro, David Alan Grier, Natasha Leggero, Adam Pally, Thomas Lennon, Tony Barbieri, Derek Waters, Jeff Ross, and Iliza Shlesinger.
The show will feature the return of Crank Yankers puppets like Tracy Morgan’s Spoonie Luv, Jimmy Kimmel’s Elmer Higgins, Sarah Silverman’s Hadassah Guberman, and more, and it’s slated to debut right after South Park’s season-23 premiere Wednesday, September 25, at 10:30 p.m. “Crank Yankers has always been my favorite show to make,” Kimmel said earlier this year. “Nothing is more fun or makes me laugh harder than a great crank call, and I am thrilled that Comedy Central asked us to do it again.”
