Saturday Night Live Season 52 is arriving in the middle of one of the show’s more noticeable recent transitions. The long-running NBC sketch series is reshaping Studio 8H after several departures while preparing a new season built around familiar veterans, newer performers and another wave of incoming talent.
The cast reset follows the exits of Chloe Fineman and Martin Herlihy, while the Please Don’t Destroy trio has already been reconfigured around Ben Marshall’s move into the main cast. The changes continue a larger refresh that began after SNL’s 50th anniversary season.
A New Season, a Different Studio 8H
New additions including Grace Reiter and Saidah Belo-Osagie give the show more room to establish new voices as the series moves beyond its milestone 50th season and into a period where audiences are once again asking what the next version of SNL looks like.

Season 52 premieres September 26 with New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson hosting and KATSEYE serving as musical guest. Dakota Johnson, Shane Gillis and additional guests are also lined up for the opening stretch of episodes.
