‘DC Universe’ will no longer stream shows, as it will convert to a “comics only” platform in 2021!

The inevitable has been announced. All though we should've seen it coming. Way back when DC Universe canceled one if it’s best series, Swamp Thing mid way through the first season due to budget issues, it was clear that maybe this thing wouldn’t be able to keep up with the financial obligations of this semi large productions.

Just recently DC Universe handed over two very popular properties to HBOMax, renewing ‘Doom Patrol’ and ‘Harley Quinn’ both for a third season and the newest hit series ‘Star Girl’ will now air on CW exclusively. So what’s the verdict you ask?

DCU Direct reports that DC Universe will be rebranded as DC Universe Infinite. No longer will shows like Doom Patrol, Titans, Young Justice, and Harley Quinn be streaming on DC Universe Infinite, as they will all move to HBO Max.

DC Universe Infinite will now become a platform exclusively for comics, meaning that other shows and backlogs on the service will be movef to HBO Max.

DC Universe Infinite will launch in the U.S. on January 21, 2021.

Tell us, was this the only reason you signed up to DC Universe? Or will you be sticking around for all the comic book content once all the series have left?
