Deepfake Artist Hired To Improve Luke Skywalker CGI Featured In The Mandalorian.

The moment in the season finale of the Mandalorian where we seen Luke Skywalker fans everywhere rejoiced. However, fans also quickly realized that something was a little off. After the negative feedback about the quality of the CGI, Lucasfilm hired a deepfake artist to improve the appearance of Luke Skywalker.

Youtuber, Shamook uploaded a video last year with the improvements he took upon himself to make. The result is a CGI version of Luke that we can all live with. This worked was noticed by Lucasfilm and the company with a stroke of brilliance decided to hire the artist. Shamook gave his thoughts on the opportunity.

"As some of you may already know, I joined ILM/Lucasfilms a few months ago and haven’t had the time to work on any new YouTube content. Now I’ve settled into my job, uploads should start increasing again. They’ll still be slow, but hopefully not months apart. Enjoy!”
