[TRAILER]: Emma Thompson and Ruth Wilson Headline Apple TV+ Thriller 'DOWN CEMETERY ROAD'

Apple TV+ has dropped the gripping first trailer for its brand-new thriller Down Cemetery Road, and it’s already looking like one of this fall’s must-watch series. Starring and executive produced by Academy Award winner Emma Thompson, alongside Golden Globe winner Ruth Wilson, the eight-episode drama promises suspense, intrigue, and conspiracies that blur the line between life and death.

Watch the new trailer below:

The story kicks off when a house explodes in a quiet Oxford suburb, leaving the community rattled and a young girl missing. Sarah Trafford (Wilson), a concerned neighbor, becomes consumed with uncovering the truth. Her search leads her to team up with private investigator Zoë Boehm (Thompson), and together the two women tumble into a complex conspiracy. Along the way, shocking revelations emerge that suggest people long thought dead are still alive, while others are being pulled into the grave far too soon.

The series brings together an impressive ensemble cast, including BAFTA winner Adeel Akhtar, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, Emmy nominee Tom Goodman-Hill, BAFTA winner Darren Boyd, Tom Riley, SAG Award nominee Adam Godley, Sinead Matthews, Ken Nwosu, Fehinti Balogun, and Aiysha Hart. With a cast this stacked, fans can expect powerhouse performances to match the high-stakes storytelling.

Down Cemetery Road comes from 60Forty Films and is written by Morwenna Banks (Slow Horses), who also serves as executive producer alongside Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Tom Nash, Thompson, and Mick Herron, the author of the novel the series is based on. Natalie Bailey (Bay of Fires) leads the directing team, bringing Herron’s chilling mystery to life for the screen.

The series debuts globally on Apple TV+ with a two-episode premiere on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, followed by new episodes every Wednesday through December 10. It joins Apple’s growing slate of prestige thrillers, including the Emmy Award-winning Slow Horses, which was recently renewed for a seventh season even before the fifth has aired.

With Emma Thompson and Ruth Wilson at the helm, Down Cemetery Road looks set to deliver a gripping, emotional ride full of secrets, shocks, and standout performances. Horror, mystery, and conspiracy lovers, mark your calendars.
