AN ‘EMPIRE’ HAS FINALLY FALLEN!

All empires eventually meet their end, it was recently announced by Fox that Season 6 will be Empire’s last.

When news broke Fox CEO Charlie Collier stated

“We are turning the final season into a large TV event” “You allow fans to lean in and have the ending they deserve.”

The musical drama created by Lee Daniels and Danny Strong first aired January, 7 2015 and was extremely popular during its onset. Throughout the years interest in the show began to taper off and disinterest from fans seemingly hit it’s peak with the Jussie Smollett situation.

Since last season Empire has lost approximately half of its audience. When asked whether Jussie would be returning for the final season Collier stated “At this point, we have no plans for that.” Collier also stated that writing for the final season hasn’t begun yet.

Empire no longer seems like a worthy investment for fox and the company looks like they are simply cutting their losses.

We want to give a final farewell to the Lions family. It’s been real.
