George Clooney has officially given fans something to buzz about. In a recent interview with E! News, the actor revealed that Warner Bros. has greenlit the budget for his next project.

While he kept details tight, Clooney hinted that the film is moving forward and that the only thing left is to lock in a start date. “We just got it. We just got the budget approved at Warner Brothers,” he explained. “We’re trying to set up, it’s just scheduling. So it’s just setting a start date for us, probably starting about nine or ten months shooting.”
This update confirms not only that the film is happening, but also that production may run close to a year once cameras start rolling. Warner Bros. backing ensures a major push for what could be one of Clooney’s bigger undertakings in recent years. While the actor didn’t name the project outright, his excitement suggested a strong commitment to the film’s scope and creative team.

Beyond logistics, Clooney dropped another tease that stirred plenty of nostalgia. When asked if he was excited to work with Brad Pitt again, he lit up: “Yeah, I love you, Brad, Mad, and Dawn and Julia there. I had dinner last night with Julia. They’re all still really dear friends, and so a chance to work together would be fun.” His words strongly hinted at the possibility of reuniting with Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts two of his closest collaborators, especially from their iconic “Ocean’s” run.
That one line was enough to get long-time fans of Clooney, Pitt, and Roberts imagining a reunion that could echo the chemistry they shared more than two decades ago. With names like Pitt and Roberts in the mix, speculation naturally leans toward whether this could tie back to a studio tentpole or an entirely new ensemble piece.
For now, Clooney is keeping the specifics under wraps. But between Warner Bros.’ approval, a nine-to-ten-month shoot window, and the potential of rekindling some of Hollywood’s most beloved on-screen friendships, anticipation is already building. Stay tuned because if Clooney, Pitt, and Roberts share the screen again, it’ll be one of the biggest movie events in years.
The original Ocean’s Eleven (2001), was directed by Steven Soderbergh, brought together one of the most star-studded ensembles of its era, with George Clooney leading as Danny Ocean alongside Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts, Don Cheadle, Andy García, Bernie Mac, and more. The film’s stylish heist at the Bellagio kicked off a slick trilogy that expanded with Ocean’s Twelve (2004) and Ocean’s Thirteen (2007), keeping much of the original cast while upping the stakes and locations. The franchise later spun off into Ocean’s 8 (2018), a female-led caper starring Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, and Rihanna, carrying the same mix of charm, humor, and elaborate cons that made the originals a hit.
