If you thought the 2026 FANGORIA Chainsaw Awards were already exciting enough, the horror bible just turned things up another notch. FANGORIA is heading to San Diego Comic-Con this year and they are bringing one of horror's most beloved faces along for the ride.
But first, a reminder. Voting for the 2026 Chainsaw Awards closes, Wednesday July 15 at 11:59 PM PT. If you have not cast your ballot yet head over to fangoria.com/vote right now and make it count before the window closes. We will wait.
Done? Good. Now here is what is coming next.
First in Fright With FANGORIA
On Friday July 24 from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM in Room 23ABC at the San Diego Convention Center, FANGORIA is hosting First in Fright, a panel that takes fans behind the scenes of the Chainsaw Awards before the winners are revealed on Shudder this October.
Special guest Devon Sawa is confirmed to appear alongside the FANGORIA team, with more surprise appearances teased for the night. If you know Devon Sawa from Final Destination, Heart Eyes or Shudder's Hell Motel: Murder at Red Mountain, you already know this man belongs in a room full of horror fans.
The panel is also promising major room-only announcements and sneak peeks which in FANGORIA language means you do not want to be anywhere else at 8pm on Friday night.
The full panel lineup includes moderator Sean Abley, Devon Sawa, FANGORIA Digital Editor Angel Melanson, Chainsaw Awards Writer and Director Michael Varrati, FANGORIA Community and Content Manager Kimberly Leszak and more surprise guests on the way.
There will also be a live audience Q&A so come ready with your questions.
