‘Gremlins’ to return to theaters this Christmas season!

Who remembers the rules? 1. Keep them out of sunlight. 2. Keep then away from water and 3. Never under any circumstances ever, ever feed then after midnight! These few Rules may come in handy this holiday season!

Regal Cinemas has announced they'll be bringing Gremlins back to theatersnext month. But instead of just being your traditional theatrical re-release, it will be shown in the immersive 4DX format, which includes moving seats and various effects that stimulate your senses.

There’s quite a large list of theaters who will be getting the re-release of Gremlins, but many of them will be hosting the event on different days. Most of the locations are through the Alamo Drafthouse, Studio Movie Grill, iPic, Regal Cinemas, Harkins and Marcus Theatres (though there are some other smaller theaters involved), but they won’t all have the movie at the same time. It will be hopping around various theaters starting December 8 and lasting through December 23 (with one final showing on December 26). You can get the full list of theaters and corresponding dates right here.

Gremlins begins when a gadget salesman is looking for a special gift for his son and finds one at a store in Chinatown. The shopkeeper is reluctant to sell him the `mogwai' but sells it to him with the warning to never expose him to bright light, water, or to feed him after midnight. All of this happens and the result is a gang of gremlins that decide to tear up the town on Christmas Eve.

Starring: Zach Galligan, Phoeb Cates, Dick Miller, and Howie Mandel as the voice of Gizmo!

Originally released on August 30, 1985 and was directed by: Joe Dante
