As Power Book IV: Force barrels toward the midpoint of its final season, the tension inside CBI has never felt sharper, more unpredictable, or more emotionally loaded. With only a handful of episodes left before we close the chapter on Tommy Egan’s Chicago saga, the cast is leaning all the way into themes that defined the original Power: loyalty, betrayal, ambition, and the brutal price of wanting the top spot. During our conversation with Adrienne Walker (Shanti “Showstopper”) and Kris Lofton (Jenard Sampson), it became clear that the final stretch is about to pull the rug out from under everyone, including the characters playing the game.
Adrienne Walker wastes no time clarifying Shanti’s motivations, and she does it with the calm confidence of someone who fully understands her character’s hunger. “Shanti’s loyalties lie with Shanti,” she tells us. She’s not a soldier following orders; she’s a player in a dangerous world, climbing until she can claim the throne herself. It’s the kind of honesty that makes Shanti one of the most interesting moving parts on the board, unpredictable, ambitious, and never playing second to anyone, whether ally or op.
Meanwhile, Kris Lofton gives us one of the most passionate breakdowns of Jenard’s mindset we’ve heard all season. As he explains it, Jenard’s journey was never about overthrowing his brother Diamond or chasing power for ego’s sake. At its core, his ambition began rooted in loyalty: “All I wanted was to get my brother out of jail, and then we run.” But when Diamond returns and aligns himself with Tommy — the same outsider Jenard sees as a threat, a disruptor, and maybe even a snake — everything spirals. Bit by bit, loyalty fractures, resentment builds, and that bond turns toxic. What started as brotherhood slowly mutates into something darker, heavier, more desperate. And as Kris says, “It turned into that… I didn’t want it to be there.”

As we enter the final five episodes, both actors warn fans to brace themselves. Walker recalls filming and constantly trying and failing to guess what would happen next. Even the cast, living inside these characters every day, struggled to keep up with the chaos unfolding around them. “It’s completely unpredictable,” she says. “Place your bets if you want, but you might lose your money.” It’s the clearest indicator yet: Power Force is about to swing big, get bold, and make moves that nobody saw coming.
Lofton echoes her warning with that signature Power energy fans know so well. “Nobody is safe in Power,” he says flat-out. Favorites, villains, icons, even characters we thought were untouchable all of them are on the chopping block. If you’re expecting predictability, forget it. If you’re expecting comfort, don’t. This final stretch is built to shock, to shake the fandom, and to close out the series with a bang worthy of the Power legacy.
As we approach the endgame, one thing is clear: Power Book IV: Force is entering its most explosive, high-stakes era yet. Buckle up, because every alliance, every betrayal, every ambition is about to collide at full speed.
