[INTERVIEW] 'POWER BOOK IV: FORCE' Season 3 Premiere — Loyalty Is About To Get Violent!

If you haven’t locked today for the Season 3 premiere of Power Book IV: Force, you already missed one of the wildest season openers Power has delivered since the flagship. Chicago is fully weaponized, alliances are unstable, and the word “loyalty” is no longer a virtue, it’s leverage. And this season, the Garcia family is right in the blast radius.

\We sat down with Carmela Zumbado (Mireya Garcia) and Manuel Eduardo Ramirez (Miguel Garcia) to talk about where loyalty actually sits this year and Manuel didn’t hesitate: Miguel is split right down the middle. “He needs the game to take care of his family,” he told us. But he also knows the game is what could destroy them. In his own words, Miguel’s going to “die trying to keep his empire together and keep his sister safe.”

Carmela took it even further. For Mireya, “family” isn’t a single definition anymore. There’s blood… and then there’s the family you choose. And this season, she’s trying to protect both. “She gets creative,” Carmela teased, hinting at choices “right out the gate” that will surprise fans. Mireya is stepping into the center of the storm and she knows exactly how to use her influence.

And if you think you know where this season’s headed, the actors don’t. Both Carmela and Manuel confirmed the cast doesn’t get all the scripts up front. They’re learning twists EXACTLY as the characters would. That means the shock, confusion, fear, power plays, all of that is real energy on set. “Every episode has a twist and a turn that leads to the very end,” Manuel said. Carmela added that there are “five moments every episode where your jaw’s gonna be on the floor.”

Then there’s the dream scenario that might be too good for this universe: a peace between Tommy and Miguel. Carmela described Mireya’s perfect world as one where both men put their love for her “at the heart of it all.” But this is Power, harmony isn’t built to last. And that tension, that tug...is exactly why the Garcia storyline is going to be the pulse of Season 3.
