Live Action Hercules Film In The Works By Disney And The Russo Brothers

It is rumored that Disney along with Joe and Anthony Russo directors of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame are making a live action adaptation of the classic Disney animated film Hercules. Dave Callaham someone who is also no stranger to Marvel is set to pen the script for the upcoming film. Callaham is fresh off developing the script for Marvels Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

The Russo brothers along with their production company AGBO will be taking the role of producers taking a step back from directing Hercules. The film will most likely go a similar route to the upcoming Mulan taking a more serious tone and opting to leave out the beloved musical numbers. The success of this approach with Mulan will most likely help to determine the direction of the Hercules film. Disney is said to have multiple dates reserved for the release over the coming years, for Hercules as of now there is no official release date.
