Your favorite telekinetic student is on her way from the stage and back to the screen!
Netflix is reportedly set to release Matilda the musical, an adaptation of Roald Dahl's beloved children's book like the classic 1996 film.
According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday, the film adaptation is part of a new partnership between Sony Pictures and the streaming giant.
The new film will allegedly by directed by Matthew Warchus, and have a theatrical release and a home video run in the UK first, before then being available to stream on Netflix across the globe.
Tim Minchin's musical adaptation of the classic children's novel has found success on London's West End and Broadway, and has also had a successful run in Australia. Prior to this, Matilda (The non musical film) made its way to theaters in 1996 originsult directed by Danny Devito which grossed over $33 Million world wide!
