As streaming platforms continue to launch and make the market more competitive, Netflix has yet again positioned itself to remain atop the competition. At the start of 2022, Netflix will be the streaming home of Sony pictures.

That means you will get to see titles such as Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Venom, and upcoming films such as Morbius. The deal also gives Netflix the first look to license films from Sony’s extensive catalog. Scott Stuber, Netflix head of global films gave his thoughts on the newly inked deal.

“Sony Pictures is a great partner and we are thrilled to expand our relationship through this forward-thinking agreement. This not only allows us to bring their impressive slate of beloved film franchises and new IP to Netflix in the U.S., but it also establishes a new source of first run films for Netflix movie lovers worldwide.”
