I'm sure by now, many of you have heard of an event known as Comic Comic. You know, those events where obsessive comic book and video game nerds gather to celebrate pop culture, fandom and the success of their favorite movie and television franchises across the globe. Now, now don't judge. When you've been in the pop culture business as long as we have, you'll learn very quickly that there is a "fandom" for EVERYTHING out there.
With that being said, there is another fanbase out there, ready to celebrate nostalgia in a similar fashion. The fans of an entire decade which represents their youth, favorite celebrities, musicians, and SKIDZ pants are gearing up for 90's Con!
This March, The Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford will host the very first Annual ‘90s Convention.
What can you can expect at 90's Con you ask? Well the same things you would find at a any Comic Con, just better and with a mix featuring, fashion, guest and displays from that decade!
The three-day event will also host a quiz show, a ‘90s cosplay contest (Costume Contest), panels and our personal favorite, appearances by cast members from your favorite ‘90s Nickelodeon, Disney and ABC Network's T.G.I.F. shows including All-That, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Boy Meets World, Family Matters and more.
And if it's music you want to remember, members of the Backstreet Boys, N’Sync, and TLC are also scheduled to appear.
Event hours:
Friday, March 11: 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. Saturday, March 12: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sunday, March 13: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
