“Power Force” Hits Its Mid-Season Boiling Point as Lili Simmons & EP Gary Lennon Tease What’s Coming Next [No Episode 5 Spoilers]

By Klep Napier| Wearecritix.com

Power Force has officially crossed the halfway mark, and if last week’s mid-season episode was any indication, this final stretch is about to get viciously unpredictable. With loyalties shifting, alliances burning to the ground, and power slipping through the fingers of nearly every major player, the series is deep in its most explosive run yet. To break down the momentum and look ahead, we sat down with actress Lili Simmons, who brings Claudia Flynn’s intensity and emotional grit to life, and Executive Producer Gary Lennon, the architect behind this season’s raw, back-to-basics storytelling.

From the moment Lili stepped in, the energy was already high. She didn’t hesitate to call out the tornado that is Tommy Egan from Claudia’s perspective, joking that he’s “impossible to kill” and the source of Claudia’s deepest frustration. It’s a sentiment fans share, and it perfectly reflects the chaos Claudia has been navigating this season. Meanwhile, Gary Lennon spoke to the heart of why Power Force feels so sharp and thematically charged this year. For him, this final season demanded a return to the themes that defined the original series: loyalty, power, betrayal, and the dangerous lengths people go to reclaim control once they’ve lost it.

Lennon dove deeper into why power itself is treated like a character this season. He described it as a drug that Ghost was addicted to, that Tommy is addicted to, and that every spin-off in the universe inevitably grapples with. For him, the season functions like a three-part portrait of the hunger for domination: having power, losing power, and doing whatever it takes to get it back. This mindset fuels nearly every storyline unfolding right now, especially as the series barrels toward its finale.

When our attention turned to Claudia Flynn, Lili Simmons opened up about the emotional weight her character has been carrying. She explained that Claudia entered this season both broken and trapped, after years of hitting walls with her father, her brother, and then Tommy. Yet even in her darkest moments, Claudia’s resolve hasn’t wavered. Lili described the character as terrified but unshakably strong, someone who knows she will eventually escape but is willing to make devastating sacrifices along the way. Her complicated love for Elise only intensifies the push-and-pull between her heart and her fixation on power, creating some of the season’s most gut-wrenching moments.

Looking ahead, Gary made it clear that fans haven’t seen anything yet. He teased that this season embodies the phrase “expect the unexpected” more than any Power series before it. Characters who seem untouchable may not make it out, and others who appear doomed might survive in ways no one predicts. He even joked that he’d love to see fans place bets on who’s making it to the finale because the answers will shock everyone. According to him, the final stretch elevates the story’s stakes to a level even the cast was stunned by while reading scripts.

Lili echoed that sentiment with absolute confidence. She described the rest of the season as a ride filled with emotional whiplash, shattered relationships, surprising alliances, and action sequences that push the series to its highest intensity yet. In her words, when it’s all said and done, “your jaw is going to be on the floor.” It’s a promise that feels right in line with everything Power Force has thrown at viewers so far.

With the mid-season chapter now behind us, fans can catch up on Episodes 1 through 5 on STARZ and the STARZ app before the next round of chaos drops. If you thought the first half was wild, just wait the real Power struggle is only beginning.
