The Duffer brothers have found a rhythm when bringing back a bit of nostalgia to their already successful franchise Stranger things. Last year we got a awesome performance from one Sean Astin (The Goonies, Rudy) who played the lovable, geeky, yet 'gone too soon' Bob and now this year the Duffer brothers continue their call backs with the casting of Cary Elwes. Elwes starred in “Robin Hood: Men in Tights” and had guest turns on “The X Files” and “Psych.” but was mostly remembered as 'Westley' from 'The Princess Bride.'
The 55-year-old actor will play Mayor Kline, a character described as “handsome, slick and sleazy” and a “classic ’80s politician” who cares more about himself than the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, that he governs.
We don't know about you guys but we cannot wait to return to the town of Hawkins to see what stranger things may come, again.
No date has been set for Stranger Things 3, but we will keep you all posted. stay tuned for news, casting updates and more!
