SETH ROGAN & ANDY SAMBERG TO RELEASE 'FYRE FESTIVAL' SPOOF FILM

Every since Netflix and Hulu released their docu-flims about the disaster that took place at the controversial 'FYRE FESTIVAL', the fiasco has been fresh on everyone's mind. Now, Actors/Comedians Seth Rogen and Andy Samberg have plans to spoof those misfortunes withtin a film!

However, while they're keen to tie in with the inspirational material provided by Fyre Festival, Rogen initially posted on social media about the idea back in 2017, in the days following the shit-show that the fest turned out to be, so it looks as though the idea has been germinating for a while.

In a tweet, he wrote: "This seems like a good time to mention the movie we are making with The Lonely Island about a music festival that goes HORRIBLY WRONG."

Replying to the tweet, the Lonely Island - a comedy troupe made up of Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone - wrote: "For real, thinking about suing Fyre Festival for stealing our idea."

In fairness, even with all these comedy heavyweights behind it, it's hard to see how any spoof could be as ridiculous as the real deal.

Speaking to the Daily Beast, Taccone said: "I don't want to divulge all the details but we're figuring it out right now. You've seen the docs, right? It's crazy. This is something that Akiva and Seth cooked up, and we're figuring it all out right now."

Of course, he had to mention Andy King, the stand-out meme from FYRE: The Greatest Party That Never Happened, after he said he was willing to 'suck dick' to ensure the release of some crates of Evian.

Taccone added: "I was like, I would hire that dude for anything... Hire that dude! That guy is a champion."

Admitting to being a big fan of the documentary, Taccone also said that the new flick will be similar to The Lonely Island's spoof Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, which was released in 2016.

If you're yet to see FYRE: The Greatest Party That Never Happened then you're really missing out. It tells the story of the epic balls-up that saw people parting with up to $75,000 for a festival that promised to be an experience of a lifetime... but it didn't turn out quite like that.

Instead, it ended up being described as a scene not unlike 'the Hunger Games for millennials', which judging by the photos is not as much fun as it sounds...
