During an Interview with Entertainment Tonight, while promoting the newest season of West World, actress Tessa Thompson spilled the beans on her fellow Co-Star Christian Bale. Bale will be alongside Chris Hemsworth and Thompson joining all the cosmic action in Marvel’s upcoming Thor sequel ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ and here’s what she had to say:
"Christian Bale is going to play our villain, which is going to be fantastic," "I've read the script. I can't tell you much. Lots of exciting text messages exchanged between Natalie (Portman) and I. We're going to have fun. Taika is writing [and] directing. Some familiar faces. Some new people coming into the mix."
No more details about who Bale will be playing but it’s speculated in the comic book community that Bale is pegged to play Michael Korvac who's first appearance you can catch in Giant Size Defenders #3
Before that it was rumored that Bale would portray the iconic Beta Ray Bill who was teased in the previous film ‘Thor Ragnarok‘ but for now, nothing has been confirmed.
During last years San Diego Comic Con Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige revealed many surprises anout Thor: Love and Thunder including that for the very first time they would be introducing female Thor.
In the comics Natalie Portman’s Jane character who is duing from cancer obtains the power of Thor becoming the one to wield thy hammer Mjölnir.
