‘THE PUNISHER’ & ‘JESSICA JONES’ HAVE BEEN CANCELLED BY NETFLIX

It’s officially the end of an era, Netflix has canceled both its remaining Marvel series The Punisher and Jessica Jones. This may not come as a surprise as the writing for this final cancellation was written on the wall with the cancellation of Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Daredevil, and the Defenders. Dispite the cancellation fans of Jessica Jones can still enjoy one more season on Netflix as the third season is set to premier this summer. It is however the last season on the streaming giant Netflix. “In reviewing our Marvel programming, we have decided that the upcoming third season will also be the final season for Marvel’s Jessica Jones.”

For the Puniser this is also the end of the road as a third season will not be picked up. Netflix gave their comments on the show. “Marvel’s The Punisher will not return for a Third season on Netflix. Showrunner Steve Lightfoot, the terrific crew, and exceptional cast including star Jon Bernthal delivered an acclaimed and compelling series for fans, and we are proud to showcase their work on Netflix for years to come.”

There is however still hope to see our favorite small screen heros as Hulu has expressed their interest in picking up the canceled shows under the right circumstances. “Marvel has a ton of titles we’d be intrested in. It kind of depends on when they’re ready and who, most importatly is going to be behind these things.” We as fans can only wait and hope for the best as we see how the dust settles when it comes to the hero’s of New York.
