Lionsgate rolled out the black carpet on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 as Hollywood gathered for the LA Special Screening of The Strangers: Chapter 2 at AMC Century City 15. The night celebrated the highly anticipated second installment of the chilling new trilogy with a packed house of stars, industry power players, and horror fans, followed by an exclusive reception at Casa Dani. The energy was electric as the cast reunited and guests got a first look at the next terrifying chapter of the cult-classic franchise.
Front and center were the film’s stars, including Madelaine Petsch, who not only headlines the film but also serves as an executive producer. Joining her on the carpet were castmates Froy Gutierrez, Ema Horvath, Brooke Lena Johnson, George Young, Pablo Benavides Sandstrom, Sara Freedland, Pippa Blaylock, and newcomer Jake Cogman, celebrating his feature debut. The creative team came out in full force as well: director Renny Harlin, co-writer Alan Freedland, producers Courtney Solomon, Mark Canton, Alastair Burlingham, Charlie Dombek, Gary Raskin, and co-producers Rafaella Biscayn and Johanna Harlin all walked the carpet alongside executive producers Roy Lee, Dennis L. Pelino, Kia Jam, and Paul Weinberg.
Earlier this month, WearecritiX.com caught up with Madelaine Petsch and Courtney Solomon to talk about building the intensity of Chapter 2 and how it sets the stage for an even darker Chapter 3 — giving fans an insider look at the creative fire fueling this new era of The Strangers.

While the cast basked in the glow of horror fans and flashing cameras, the screening also drew some unexpected heavy hitters from across the industry. Tyrese Gibson hit the carpet in full charisma mode, using the moment to tease an upcoming untitled horror project he’s developing with longtime collaborator Deon Taylor, who was also in attendance with producer Roxanne Avent Taylor. The trio brought high energy to the event, generating buzz for their project while showing love to The Strangers crew. Also spotted on the carpet were rock legend Gene Simmons, Jesse Kove, Sophia Hammons, Owen Thiele, Caylee Cowan, and a wave of digital creators and influencers who amplified the night’s hype across social media.
The screening not only celebrated the return of one of horror’s most haunting franchises, but it also reaffirmed the genre’s powerful pull across generations and industries. With both legacy talent and emerging voices packed into the Century City theater, the event felt less like a simple screening and more like a horror homecoming.
The Strangers: Chapter 2 officially hits theaters on September 26, 2025, ready to terrorize a whole new wave of audiences — and if the screams and applause from this LA crowd are any sign, the franchise is about to hit a new peak.
