[TRAILER]: Mark Wahlberg’s “The Family Plan 2” Trailer Promises High-Stakes Holiday Mayhem on Apple TV

Apple TV is turning up the holiday heat with the official trailer for “The Family Plan 2”, the explosive sequel to the 2023 action-comedy hit. Mark Wahlberg returns as Dan, a former covert operative trying to give his family the perfect overseas Christmas vacation but when a ghost from his past (Kit Harington) resurfaces, plans go sideways in spectacular fashion.

What follows is a globe-spanning, adrenaline-fueled adventure filled with bank heists, high-speed chases, festive chaos, and family bonding across Europe’s most cinematic backdrops. As Dan, Jessica (Michelle Monaghan), and their kids navigate danger and dysfunction, they’re forced to confront old secrets and discover that family might be the greatest mission of all.

Directed and executive produced by Simon Cellan Jones and written by David Coggeshall, “The Family Plan 2” is an Apple Original Film from Skydance Media and Municipal Pictures, with Wahlberg also serving as producer. The stacked ensemble includes Zoe Colletti, Van Crosby, Peter Lindsey, Theodore Lindsey, Reda Elazouar, and Kit Harington as the mysterious figure pulling Dan back into a world he thought he’d left behind.

The sequel promises even bigger set pieces, sharper comedy, and deeper emotional stakes all wrapped in a holiday-themed action spectacle that blends the best of spy thrillers and family comedies.

The original Family Plan was a surprise hit for Apple TV, delivering a lighthearted mix of espionage and suburban chaos. Now, with Kit Harington stepping into the villain role and a European playground for its cat-and-mouse action, The Family Plan 2 looks ready to raise the stakes and the spectacle.

If the trailer is any indication, this sequel isn’t just leaning on Wahlberg’s action chops, it’s doubling down on the family dynamics and holiday hijinks that made the first film such a crowd-pleaser. Expect plenty of laughs, edge-of-your-seat moments, and maybe even a few heartfelt lessons tucked between the explosions.
