Eternals Star Lia Mchugh Talks About Director Chloe Zhao's Star Wars Film "If She Wanted Me..."

There is no question that the Chloe Zhao Hype is real. The Academy Award Winning Director has not only proven herself amongst peers at the 2021 Oscars, but even in the midst of negative reviews from critics Zhao's Marvel Studios project Eternals managed to rake in an astounding $71 Million at the box office opening weekend with a respectful audience score of 80% on Rotten Tomatoes. Now it's been rumored that the Director's next project could be Marvel Producer, Kevin Feige's Star Wars film.

We know one Eternal who would be thrilled to return to work with Chloe if the opportunity presented itself. During a press junket for the upcoming Blumhouse thriller " A House On The Bayou", CritiX's Klep Napier spoke with Eternal cast member Lia Mchugh about how she felt about working with the Academy Award Winner on Eternals and if she would be ready to weld a lightsaber if called upon. Here is what she had to say.

I love, Love Loved Chloe! She really cared about all the characters and i felt a really deep connection with her. And you know working with her so closely.

And when asked by about Zhao being a frontrunner for Kevin Feige's Star Wars, she added:

I love Chloe Zhao so much, she's one of the greatest directors I've ever worked with. And I mean If she wanted me, I would be there!

Lia McHugh is rapidly emerging as one of young Hollywood’s most sought-after talents. McHugh can also be seen in the Epix and Blumhouse film A HOUSE ON THE BAYOU. The film follows a troubled couple and their teenage daughter (McHugh) who go on vacation to an isolated house in the Louisiana bayou to reconnect as a family. But when unexpected visitors arrive, their facade of family unity starts to unravel, as terrifying secrets come to light. McHugh plays, ‘Anna,’ the 14-year-old daughter of Jessica and John, who becomes increasingly unnerved by the tension she feels rising within her family. Though not exactly thrilled about spending a week with her parents in a remote bayou house, ‘Anna’ becomes dangerously intrigued by the attention of a handsome, and older, local boy. The film will premiere on Epix and digital in November 19th 2021.
