Sony Announces New ‘Karate Kid’ Film Slated For 2024!

Cobra Kai and the Karate Kid Franchise never dies!

Numerous outlets report that Sony Pictures has announced the “return of the original ‘Karate Kid' franchise” to the big screen slating a new “Karate Kid” movie for a June 7, 2024 release.

The news comes 38 years later and 5 seasons into Netflix’s “Cobra Kai” series, the spin-off to the original film. This new “Karate Kid” project will be the franchise’s first film offering since a 2010 reboot starring Jaden Smith.

The new “Karate Kid” project does not yet have a synopsis from the studio nor do we know if it will tie into the current Cobra Kai series, but we will keep you updated as more develops!
