Known for turning heads in Euphoria and Reality, she’s transformed herself physically and emotionally for this role. The trailer teases moments of struggle, fury, and intense determination images of grueling training sessions, inner conflict, and raw energy that hint this won’t be just another boxing movie.

Christy tells the true story of Christy Martin, a trailblazing professional boxer from West Virginia. We follow her rise from small-town roots to becoming one of the most famous female fighters of the 1990s. Along the way, the film doesn’t shy away from the hardest parts of Martin’s life: her relationship with her husband/trainer, Jim Martin, becomes abusive and controlling. The story also explores how she survived a brutal attack in 2010 and fought not just opponents in the ring but trauma and prejudice outside of it.

This biopic, directed by David Michôd, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 5, 2025. Christy will hit theaters in the U.S. on November 7, 2025.
