Sony officially responds to Spiderman 3 casting rumors!

For months now the internet has been buzzing about a live action Spider-verse film on its way. Even more rumors about Toby McGuire teaming up along side Andrew Garfield to reprise their superhero roles and now most recently, the casting of Miles Morales has been thrown into the air.

But now everyone can ease themselves because finally, Sony has made their very first statement.

ET Canada reached out to Sony Pictures to ask about the Maguire and Garfield Spider-Man 3 casting rumors. In response, one Sony Pictures representative gave the short and simple answer of “Those rumored castings are not confirmed.”

Now, they never said they weren’t in talks? Nor did they denied that any ideas weren't being discussed, but what we do know is that there is still hope while knowing that Jamie Foxx is still in play to return as Electro from the Sony adaptation of Spiderman. So we’ll just have to be patient and wait to see how this all plays out.
